David Burnham

Last seen in the Broadway production of Wicked in the role of Fiyero, David Burnham was also an integral part of the musical when it was merely an idea in Stephen Schwartz’s mind.   He originated the same role in the pre-Broadway developmental workshops.

Other Broadway credits include Fabrizio Naccarelli in The Light in the Piazza. While in The Light in the Piazza, he performed on the Tony Awards and the PBS telecast Live From Lincoln Center.  From Broadway, he went on to play the same role in the national Broadway tour of The Light in the Piazza, for which he received the Helen Hayes and Garland Awards for best actor.

After a two-year search, Burnham replaced Donny Osmond in the role of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Dramalogue Award).  He toured nationally in Jesus Christ Superstar as Peter. In 2012, he starred in the Off-Broadway production of The Best Is Yet to Come: the Music Of Cy Coleman.  He was the voice of the Prince in the animated movie of The King and I, produced by Warner Bros. He can be heard on Ghepetto and Home on the Range soundtracks.

Burnham performs with symphonies worldwide, and each summer he hosts Camp Sing, a music program for young artists.  His self-titled CD and sophomore project, One Day, are available wherever fine music is sold. Information available at
